The word "English" appearing at bottom of pages

    The word “English” is appearing at the bottom of every page on my website, and it’s really bugging me. Initially, I thought it was just a part of JetPack’s smiley face that was there but upon fixing that the “English” still didn’t go away. I don’t know how it randomly just popped up – completely clueless. Any ideas? Thanks so much. (peapee.com)

    Can you post a URL to the page in your site that this is occurring? I can be more helpful if I can take a look at the issue.

    It is on every page, I believe. (peapee.com) is the URL.

    Yeah, i’m pretty sure that it’s a stray word typed into one of the templates. I would search index.php, page.php, archive.php etc. for the word, “English”.

    You should be able to find it pretty quickly. (If it’s on every page, my money is on index.php).

    might be from a plugin –

    temporarily deactivate all plugins to see if that removes the word (make sure to also deactivate or flush the caching plugin);

    if that solves the problem, reactivate one plugin at a time and test inbetween to locate the interfering plugin.
