• Hello,
I have allowed the image formats GIF, JPG, and JPEG in the Event Manager settings.

But now I get this error message:

The uploaded file type is not allowed. Allowed file types are:

  • I specified Any Type for the post types and filled in GIF, JPG, JPEG for the allowed extenstions and it worked fine (Events Manager 6.6.4.4) when opening a file with the jpg extension.

    Hello, I checked the settings.

gif, jpg, jpeg, png are entered, and “any type” is selected.

    upload_event_images is also enabled.

    but the error still appears.

Another question: Can I enable “recurring VA” for the form field, but hide and disable it? If so, how does that work?

I don’t know why image uploads are not working for you. I don’t know what “recurring VA” is

    Hello

What I’ve noticed is that although the placeholder is stored for the file types %s, the permitted image types don’t appear in the error message.

It also doesn’t work if I only select “Image Types.”

By recurring VA, I mean recurring events.

i don’t think you can create recurring events from the event form.

Hello, the field for “recurring events” is also displayed in anonymous mode.

I enabled anonymous event submission but I don’t see any recurring event field in the event form.

When you create a recurring event, each recurrence is treated as a separate event. So you will see these individual events in the event list.

Hello, the thing about the recurring event was just a side note.

The bigger problem is why I can’t upload anything, even though everything is allowed…

Could you please give me a hint as to what the problem is?

Make sure you have the latest plugin version. Disable all other plugins and switch to a default theme and then see if you still have the upload problem.

If you’re not able to get the visual uploader to work, you can disable it by going to the General tab in Events > Settings then in the Uploads section and then change the “Enable Visual Uploader” to No and then click on the Save Changes button.

Make sure you click on the Save Changes button after adding the allowed file types.

    Hello,
I have “jpg, jpeg, png” stored in my multisite settings and saved it multiple times.

I also deactivated the Visual Uploader, but nothing changed.

The error message still appears: “The uploaded file type is not allowed. Allowed file types are:” –> However, the information about which file types are allowed is not displayed.

As I said, you can see the behavior here: https://ostbayerische24.de/veranstaltungen/veranstaltung-einreichen

Try downloading the development version and see if that fixes the problem. You can find it here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/events-manager/advanced/

    Hello, what a small success!

Now you can at least upload an image…

However, the message appears: “The image is too large! Maximum allowed dimensions: 700 x 700.”

However, I have allowed 1200px in the settings.

How can I adjust the dimensions?
