  • When i try to upload few themes(i already uploded several others with no issues) in my wordpress multisite network it shows message “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini”. I tried increasing the upload limit in settings didnt worked. Also tried editing htaccess as in this http://webplantmedia.com/starter-themes/wordpresscanvas/the-uploaded-file-exceeds-the-upload_max_filesize-directive-in-php-ini/ but that doesent helped either.
I went through several posts on this al that didnt helped.
I didnt find a php.ini in wp-admin so i changed in /etc/php5/apache2/ upload post and file sizes to 50mb still didint worked. My host is digital ocean, cloud. The file uploads to 100% than it waits for my site to complete installation than it shoots the issue.
    some help please. 🙁 Thanks

Make a phpinfo page and verify that PHP really does think that you’re allowed that size.

    Thanks for your reply.

I checked the phpinfo, the upload_max_filesize is 2M and post_max_size is 8m even after changing the php.ini? do i need to contact the host to change this or will i be able to change some where.(sorry if it is a dump question)

You need to ask your host, if the php.ini didn’t work. It’s probably something weird about their setup :/

If they have a wiki or knowledge base, try that?

    Hi,
thankyou for your reply… ok i will try that hope that helps 🙁
