You did a great job building the tool and then in the latest version there are

Two elements that are more than very annoying to users

First is the copy link button that gives you the video link I want to hide or disable

The other thing is the ability to click on the name of the video and it opens YouTube

I want to stop these two features and there are no features for them in the tool. Is it possible to do this or customize this in exchange for purchasing the paid version of it? Please respond because the player is great but these two icons and functions may make the tool not good at all

I tried to contact you via email to find a solution for it but I did not receive any response
I hope there are solutions for it

  • Hello thehospitalegy,

The player controls can be enabled or disabled in settings: https://foliovision.com/player/getting-started/customizing-controls

I think the one which you want to disable is “Embed” and “Video Links”.

The YouTube can be configured in Settings -> FV Player -> Hosting -> YouTube -> “YouTube UI”

On our demo page https://foliovision.com/player/demos/youtube-embedding we use the “Reduced” setting. That way it still shows the channel logo, video title and YouTube logo, but not the YouTube related videos.

Please use our support forums in the future to let us keep track of the support issues: https://foliovision.com/support/fv-wordpress-flowplayer

    Thanks,
    Martin

@thehospitalegy The feature to disable YouTube links and YouTube chrome on YouTube videos has always been there in FV Player. Could you please adjust your rating of our plugin? It’s bad enough to be penalised for what we do do wrong, it’s frustrating to be penalised for what we’ve always done right.

The reason we do not actively promote the YouTube zero-chrome features of FV Player is that suppressing that chrome and those links is against YouTube terms of service. Publishers who get caught have had their sites blocked or if it’s part of an official YouTube channel, their channels demonetised.

At a small scale probably no one will notice, but if you have some success with this, the consequences can be disastrous.

Making the web work for you, Alec
