Very strange, you’re the first, do you think any other plugin or hack/tip can interact with this?
Well, I deactivated all my plugins and the problem presisted. I am using the woothemes canvas theme (http://www.woothemes.com/products/canvas/)

Humor us: can you switch to the Twenty Eleven theme and deactivate all of your other plugins?
Once that’s done can you see the new text area field?
Edit: I see you’ve done that with your plugins but still try with Twenty Eleven.
Hmm… I witched to the Twenty Eleven theme and deactivate all of my other plugins.
Still the text area field to add passwords does not show up.
I even deleted your plugin, re-downladed, re-installed and re-activated…. But the problem presists
If you want, i can personaly check this in your WP installation.

But, do you have selected “password protected” in the post visibility box ?

You are right, I had’nt selected “password protected” in the post visibility box. I expected the fields to show up anyway…
