    Hi to everyone,
I’m trying to become more familiar with the whole blogging world at the moment. It took me some hours of research to understand what I have to do to install Piwik on my multisite.

Unfortunately I already stuck at point number 2 of the system check.
Before, I did exectaly what’s required in the guide:
I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it into a folder and uploaded the Piwik files in binary mode to my “piwik” sub-directory on my web server via FileZilla. (/html/wp/piwik)

Now it seems something is wrong with my php.ini or something is missing… Unfortunately, I didn’t get it.
The installation program wants that I add the line “always_populate_raw_post_data=-1” to my php.ini and when I click on the “What’s the problem button”, it shows:

‘The configuration file {/var/www/ud19_106/html/wp/piwik/config/config.ini.php} has not been found or could not be read.’

And the program suggest to adjust the memory limit also in the php.ini. But this is optional.

The last hours I try to learn more about the ini.php. But I just found a global.ini.php in the Piwik file and I shouldn’t touch this, should I? (There is no config.ini.php)

I’m deeply grateful if someone in this outer space have an idea what’s to do for complete the installation. I really want to use Piwik on my multisite.

If I should put more information, please tell me what kind and I will do it.

    Thanks for your time!
    Nancy

    Hi guys,
    the problem is solved. 🙂

Just add a ‘.user.ini’ with the following text in your Piwik directory on your server:

    ‘always_populate_raw_post_data=-1’

    Cheers,
    Nancy

    Thanks for posting your solutions.

Can you also tell us which web host you use, please?

Because the .user.ini solution is specific to your host and won’t work for everybody this way.
