    Hey
I have made a Meta slider slideshow in which the single slides must be show in random order, 5 sec for each slide. The shortcode for slideshow is placed in a widget in a sidebar and it works perfectly.

After that have placed the same slideshow on a page with the same shortcode. Here the slideshow does not work – the slides does nor switch, only on slide is shown. The is slide show is only shown on mobile as the sidebar is hidden on mobile.

Can someone tell what is wrong?

    Henrik

  • Hi Henrik,

I went ahead and checked your site.

Both of the sliders seems to work fine on my end:

    #metaslider-id-6243

    Hi Arreane
Sorry, I forgot to tell the whole story. As a work around I have copied the slide show, which means that have maintain to identical slideshows, that is a source of error.
So, if I put the samme shortcode twice on a page – one in the sidebar for desktop, and one in the bottom of the page for tablet and mobile, the latter slideshow does not switch the slides.

    Hi Henrik,

MetaSlider slideshows are triggered by their corresponding slideshow IDs.

Which means that, if you embed two slideshows with the same IDs, only the first one will get triggered.

I’m afraid you’d have to duplicate your slideshow in order to make it work on the same page as a work around which I think you already did.
