    Bonjour,

    1) First, I copied wp-login.php to newlogin.php
    2) Installed and Configured WPS Hide Login and rebuilt the permalinks afterwards.
Under General settings the new URL is newlogin.php
    3) Able to login fine, but when I log out of the dashboard aka. wp-admin I get this error:

The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

That’s a problem, it does not succesfully log me out and I can easily click the back button and I am back in wp-admin.

Suggestions please? I will happily rate the plugin 5 stars if I can resolve the issue.
BTW when I de-activate the plugin I do not have an error logging out.

I would like to add that I tried disabling all other plugins and then tried updating WordPress Core to latest release, but still unable to logout correctly.

I have installed the “WPS Hide Login” plugin, and changed the name of the login page name, but I did not create a new page with that name. Now, I lost the access to the site login page.
If the only way to resolve the problem is to remove the “WPS Hide Login” plugin, then please give me the exact instructions and commands to do that on the AWS Bitnami SSH.

Thanks Nicolas for your help, but in the end I manually disabled use of wp-login.php with 4 lines of code in functions.php

Not sure the reason behind my original issue of experiencing technical difficulties message I was getting when logging out. No problems were reported in my php log.

I did try your plugin again on my localhost Wamp setup and everything worked fine.
However, I would have liked to have the option to default wp-login attempts to refer back to my homepage rather than generating a 404 error. Hope you can guess the reason why this would be preferred.

    Thanks for your time.

    PHP version?
Refresh permalinks after configuring the login page?

I am seeing this message but don’t know what to do about it
