The shortcode [year] doesn’t work in the description

    Hello,
    I use Rank Math and I noticed that I can use the shortcodes in the title but not in the SEO description of my posts. In the description, the shortcode is visible and not converted to 2020.

    Do you know this problem ?

    Hi Glorain. Not many people use shortcode in RankMath Description, but I will release an update with shortcode support in SEO description, alongwith some other features.

    Hi @glorain,
    Hope you are doing well. I have an update on this and sadly Rank Math doesn’t allow shortcodes in their SEO description. However, there is a catch. If you use shortcodes in the first paragraph, RankMath captures them as they are. They will be rendered as the current month and year etc. in Rank Math’s SEO description.

    Manually entered shortcodes on the other hand don’t work.
