• I’ve been trying to improve my blogging efficiency while also reporting on some interesting stats to readers, and I was stymied to find that there was not a mass of popular WP time tracking plugins that would keep time as you worked on a post – not even a plugin from a popular time-tracking app!

    After trying a few different search strings, I stumbled onto this humble plugin – no reviews, no ratings, but updated two days ago! I installed it, and it’s the perfect lightweight solution to my needs – it runs a timer at the bottom of a post as I work on it.

    I wish the plugin came with a few options, like clearing the counter, pausing (especially after a post has been published), or adding the time-count as a column on the Posts page, but I’m happy to manage reporting directly from SQL queries for the time being.

    Thanks for solving my problem, Worktime Logger!

    Thanks for your positive feedback.
    I will think about the features which you have suggested. You are right, the plugin is young. I have developed it once a week ago and I searched also for a solution to track simple and easy my working time.
    I will definitely implement a start/pause button and I wil add a column on the posts page. If you want to clear the counter, you have the ability to clear the meta box value, but I also will implement a button to clear the tracked time.

    Wow! Thanks for responding, and for considering my suggestions.

    I was just asking other WP users if they knew any good ways to track time while blogging, so I’ll be sure to spread my recommendation of Worktime Logger to them all.

    If you have some manner of “tip jar” for development I hope you make it available somewhere, as you’ve definitely saved me time and money already just in one night of use.

    @krisis thanks a lot.

    A new version is available with the requested features. Let me know, if something is broken, or else.
    🙂
