Support » Plugin: Ocean Extra » The REST API encountered an error

  • Resolved Word

    On debug.log I get these errors :

[13-Dec-2019 10:05:27 UTC] PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/site/site/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/freemius/start.php on line 189
[13-Dec-2019 10:05:27 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: wp-cron-status-checker/freemius in /var/www/site/site/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/freemius/start.php on line 277

On site health page I get these errors

    Critical error :

The REST API encountered an error - Performance
The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    Recommended improvement :

Background updates may not be working properly - Security
Warning Could not confirm that the wp_version_check() filter is available.

And when I deactivate it and activate again I get this notice :

The plugin generated 187 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

Ps: I am using OceanWp child theme when I deactivate it and use the parent theme “the health check errors disappear”

    Hello @hajar2901,

Thank you very much for the info, we will use it to perform additional tests.

Would you be so kind and tell us if you are using the default OceanWP child theme, or did you create the child theme using a third-party plugin?

In addition, please include the OceanWP theme and Ocean Extra plugin versions as well.

    Thank you

No problem, I am using the default OceanWP child.

    OceanWP Version: 1.7.3
    OceanWP Child Version: 3.0
    Ocean Extra Version: 1.5.19

I solved the site health errors by adding if(! is_admin()) condition to session_start() since I am using it in child theme but I still see Ocean Extra errors in debug.log file
