Hi Joe,
It’s probably best to first open the browser console window and then switch to the Network tab. Then reproduce the issue and monitor the output in the Network tab.
This should help get more detailed information about what goes wrong.
Additionally you can look for javascript errors (if any) under the Console tab.

Hi @joecrash, thanks for reaching out. Could you please reach out to your hosting provider and have them enable ALL HTTP methods on your server? Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you @nlpro and @shanedelierrr for looking into this.
I activated HSTS in the hosting settings, that was the only one turned off.
Now I get the error just 3 times instead of 4, so there is an improvement 🙂
In the console I see warnings like: dashboard–settings.js?ver=70128ccd7d8fb8ebf0dc:3
schema $id ignored
The networking tab does not give me any error.
Thank you for looking into this
@joecrash thank you for getting back. Could you please try deactivating all plugins except iTSec and switching to a default WP theme and see if it resolves the problem? If it does, reactivate the plugins one at a time to isolate the culprit.
In addition, please ensure that you are using the latest version of iTSec and that your PHP version is at least 7.4. If the issue still occurs, please try deactivating and deleting the iTSec plugin and re-install.
Hi Joe,
Would it be possible to show us a screenshot of the Networking tab ?
There may be usefull information displayed that does not resemble an error.
Oh, the reported warnings from the Console tab are probably unrelated.

Hello @nlpro :
Here you can find a screenshot.

The error you see is concerning an gravatar picture, thus unrelated.
Thank you 🙂

Hi @joecrash, I’d like to circle back regarding the allowed HTTPS methods on your server. Other customers who experienced the same error: Could not save user groups: The response is not a valid JSON response.
were able to resolve it by ensuring that all the REST HTTP methods: GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, and OPTIONS are allowed on their server. Please reach out to your hosting provider to have them check. Thank you.

I was thinking about buying pro, but it needs to work of course.
I have this on 1 other website as well, on others on the same server, I have no issue, but OK, I migrated some websites, this was clean install.
thanks,
Regards, Joe

Well, It seems, I changed the wrong extension in IIS, after I updated the .php with these settings, it worked.
Thank you so much.
