• I created a local server on computer 1 and began working on a site, which all worked fine.

Today, I had someone export the SQL from computer 1, created a local server on computer 2, installed wordpress, dropped the old wordpress tables, imported the SQL, and I can’t seem to make it work. I keep getting the The requested URL /wordpress/ was not found on this server message.

I have the database changed in the wp-config.php. I have the database changed in myphpadmin. There must be somewhere I’m missing.

    Please help! Thanks 🙂

  • The WordPress files are not in the same place as on the first server.
Where is your “wp-config.php” file on the first server ? In particular where is this file with respect to the web server document root ?
You need the same files installed on the second server, in the same relative location with respect to its document root.
