Can you be more specific into your issue? Is Publicize not sending your posts to Twitter, or is there something wrong with the shortlink? A link to a Tweet where it’s not showing right and the post you Publicized from your site would be most helpful. Once I have that information, I’ll be happy to take a closer look.

Thanks for that clarification! Can you give me a post on your site that didn’t Publicize properly, and the link to the Tweet that didn’t show the shortlink?
Once I have that information, I’ll be happy to take a closer look.

Yes, I understand that it’s not – but I still need to see the tweet that was generated through the Publicize action in addition to the post that you made on your website to troubleshoot the problem further.

Since I don’t have an example to see what the exact issue is, I’m going to have to extrapolate what I think you are asking. I’ve boiled it down to one of two things:
1. If the link to your blog post isn’t showing up on Twitter, I will need specific post URLs in order to troubleshoot why the link is not going to Twitter. Otherwise, I can’t help you with this.
OR
2. If the full URL is being shown on Twitter instead of a shortlink, this is the expected behavior.
In a recent release we removed the ability to use custom shortlinks in Publicize messages. This was because our research has shown that people are more likely to click full links than shortened ones. And since Twitter counts all links as 22 characters anyway:
https://support.twitter.com/articles/78124-posting-links-in-a-tweet — “A URL of any length will be altered to 22 characters, even if the link itself is less than 22 characters long. Your character count will reflect this.”
… it doesn’t much matter as to the actual length of the URL itself.
However, we are aware that lots of our users use shortlinks for other purposes (such as stats tracking, branding, and so on), so we’re working to re-enable the custom shortlink functionality.
I don’t have an ETA as to when that support will be re-enabled – but the release notes will address that.
