I installed the plugin on my website which was created two months ago. also I installed it on the older website which was an e-commerce for selling cosmetics products, and in both cases I have a really bad result when I have enabled minifying, I mean the plugin has worked always great although I did not notice any performance improvment as a human, but I noticed that measuring the speed on certain third party websites. the problem that after I minified the website it gave me a lot of some strange written letters on both websites. i searched the web for solutions and i did not found anything similar to my case, I tried to restore a backup, nothing happened. I uninstalled the plugin and the website start to give 404 error. I contacted the host to fix it, they told me that I need to reinstall wordpress and delete the root folder and its content. so I did, and I repeated optimising all written content again from the scratch. any help to prevent that from happening in the future.thnx

    Hello @zemminamia

I am sorry about the issue you had with your websites and I am happy to assist you with this.
W3 Total Cache does not mess with wp-core files. If you have had minify enabled on Auto, and the issue started to occur, disabling minify and purging cache should bring your website prior to the state when Minify was enabled. There is a possibility of a conflict of course. If you are using more than one caching/minify solution.
If you start to experience something similar again, disable minify (you should also try using Manual minify and ad JS and CSS files manually and in order) purge the cache, manually remove the wp-content/cache/minify/folder.
    I hope this helps!
