• Thought I would test this, all I get when I try to activate the plugin after installing through wordpress is: The plugin does not have a valid header.

See below, I’m told this is a wordpress problem.

OK so after searching forums, I tried deactivating and re activating another plugin, this then let me activate this pluging. Will give it a test run now.

    Hi Philip,

Hope you’re well. Thanks for the feedback, and glad the forums helped. 🙂 Which plugin conflicted?

If this review no longer stands then we’d be delighted if you could change it to a good review or remove it?

It was not a plugin conflict. I chose a random plugin, deactivated and then reacrtivated it before trying the installation again.

    Hi @philipedwards

May I know which plugin did you deactivate, please? Does the error goes away if you deactivate a different plugin? I would be more than happy to assist you if you open a new topic here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/updraftplus/#new-topic-0

    Best Wishes,

Philip – OK, thank you. Did you get it to work in the end?

I’ve consulted with the UDP developers and it’s not something they’ve seen before. They say since reactivating a different plugin appears to have solved it, the problem is likely that this was a caching issue. (Deactivating and reactivating the other plugin reset the cache).

When this happens, no UpdraftPlus code is running, its all WordPress so fixing this is out of our control – it’s a WordPress core issue.

Is there anything we can do to persuade you to change your review? We’d be hugely grateful. 🙂
