    Hi,

It seems that the plugin is creating a lot of data inside my wordpress installation.
As soon as I flush the cache the folder shrink, but after few days, I get the same issue.
Does anybody else had the same issue?

    Thanks for using Independent Analytics!

Is this in reference to the “iawp” folder inside the “uploads” folder? We use a caching mechanism that places files there to help quickly recognize the devices your visitors use (iphone, pixel, etc.). While there may be quite a few files, the total size should only be a few kilobytes.

No, the amount of data where huge, aproximately 5 GB of data.
The issue happened few week ago, and I deactivated the plugin, reactivate, and flushed the cache.

    Today the issue appear again.

I have deactivated the plugin, I want to be sure 100% that the plugin is the responsable one.

I will update you in two weeks.

This was in the “iawp” folder? We haven’t seen anything like this before. It would be helpful if you could share a screenshot or more info about this data and where it is showing up on your site.

    Hello,

I have deactivated the plugin since 3 weeks, and all the data folder are normal.
I would like to reactivate and see how it will go.
There is any fodler that you would like to montori especially before and after, in order to see if something will grow in an abnormal way?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Best regards.

Independent Analytics adds a folder in this location:

    wp-content/uploads/iawp

It will only be a few KB, so nothing close to 5GB. However, we are releasing an update this week, and then we will no longer use that folder. Those files will be moved into the plugin’s folder instead => wp-content/plugins/independent-analytics

IA adds one other file into the /wp-content/uploads/ folder called “iawp-geo-db.mmdb” and it is 98.2MB.

    Hi,

I have made several test, deactivating and re-activating the plugin, and for same reason there are same issue between your plugin and the plugin of siteground, called siteground optimiser. There is a folder, called siteground optimiser inside the public_html/wp-content/uploads/ folder that start to grow, and in less than a week reach several gigabite size.

Do you have any idea how can I solve the conflict?

Thank you very much in advance.

Thanks for letting me know it’s a conflict with SiteGround Optimizer. Can you identify any particular folder or file inside their folder that is growing rapidly?

I will do some testing with SGO and get back to you with what I find.

Here the screenshot, the folder Siteground-optimizer start to grow in incredible way, in one week time reach 7 GB, if I flush the cache, the folder became very small again.

    Thank you!

We will do some investigating with SGO and see what’s going on.

@volpik I haven’t been able to recreate this same issue. I’m not seeing anything in the “siteground-optimizer-assets” folder that is related to our plugin.

Can you open the “siteground-optimizer-assets” folder on your site and check which files/folders inside are taking up so much space? If you have image compression and backups enabled, it could be saving lots of images in that folder that add up over time.
