Have found this plugin will create a POST request to admin-ajax.php on the front-end of the site, it will cause a delay between 350-400ms.

    Hi @lukefiretoss,

Thank you for getting in touch, we do appreciate your time.

Based on the information provided it appears you may not be using our servers to deliver messages and connection information on your website.

This means the system will make use of an AJAX connection which runs in the background to relay message and connection information to agents. This is a polling system which will open and close numerous times on the frontend.

We also make use of the AJAX endpoint to generate the initial chatbox on the web page.

I hope this helps clarify the reason for these requests being present?

I get that part but slow POST admin-ajax.php requests on the front-end of a site is not something that really helps a site performance.

    Hi @lukefiretoss,

Thank you for getting back to me and clarifying.

We will definitely look into improving this further in the future.

    🙂
