I have the same problem too! But I only get this error when I go to my site/wp-admin I can access my normal page.

This happened when I did the upgrade also.

I’m wondering what the fix is?

I got a call that something was wrong on my site…. When opening the page I thought and it looked as though everything is good. I couldn’t see anything. Then I went into the wordpress to check and update. I kept getting the 500 error and still can’t not get into it. I went into FTP and wordpress org and there it was. A back door hacker and was even good about bragging all over the place on the site and buried pages. I don’t even have a blog going and he started one and I found pages and pages of text in the FTP folders. So if you suddenly are getting that 500 error and can’t get into the dashboard. Check your FTP files and see what’s hidden. Here’s a snip of what lines and codes I found in mine… I removed some of the coding so not to pass a bug along!

First add this to your wp-config.php file:
    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
Then look at the error messages.

    This page isn’t working

    http://www.domain.com didn’t send any data.

    help me please

I had this error after running updates to my WP site from the Plesk panel. I had updated WordPress, Envira Gallery Lite, Jetpack and a few other things.

I could still login via Plesk, and disabled a stack of Plug ins. Turns out that it was the Envira Gallery Lite that is breaking my site.

It will have to remain disabled until there’s a patch – it’s actually a really attractive plug-in, I’d like to keep it.

    Aslam Alaikum(Hi) everyone,
I had this error after running updates on my WP site, I have recovered it from the cpanel by following these steps:
    1: Login your cpanel account.
2: Here you need to open online file manager.
    3: Open the folder “htdocs”.
    4: Now open “wp-content”.
5: Now sort this folder by “Time & Date” (On top menu).
6: You can see the most recent date folder, open it and delete the most recent updated folder. (It may be in theme, plugin, upgrade folder)

So this is how i solved my problem. You can try this.
