    This is the message I get

    “The page isn’t redirecting properly
    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete
    This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
    cookies.”

    I have tried enabling and disabling the cookies. But the problem still persists. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks so much

  • If you have access to your erro logs you may be able to get more info about this error.

    I would check the siteurl and home url in the wp_options table of the database. I think that perhaps one of these is wrong.

    Thanks for the feedback. I am unable to login in to to wp-admin to access the database. Any suggestions thanks very much.

    database sits elsewhere, it’s another story.

    How about using another browser, say, Chrome?

    just tried chrome and it does not work this is the message it leaves

    I restored the computer to a earlier date when the site was working.
    Went through microsoft ‘Fix It’ to check for any problems and it made no difference at all.
    Tried opening the site with Internet Explorer / Firefox / and Google chrome on my PC. Also tried opening it on my Microsoft Surface tablet and it also will not open the site.

    Tried accessing through the link just sent
    barbarapedersen.ca/wp-login.php

    again this is the message

    There are some possible reasons for such problem. I don’t want you to run through all exhaustive troubleshooting techniques.

    Do you remember when you saw that problem for the first time? Did you change either apply anything new just before that problem appears?

    The problem has been about a week now. Before the problem accessing the site I had entered a new post and changed a photo on the home page. But nothing else with the site was changed.

    When I look at the page source, it seems very messy.

    Are you able to FTP your site and rename /wp-content/plugins/ directory to

    /wp-content/OLDplugins/ ?

    Then please try to login.

    If you don’t feel confident, please address that problem to your host.

    I can’t duplicate your issue.

    http://barbarapedersen.ca/wp-login.php works fine for me.

    Just for the testing purposes, I put ‘admin’ and some random password

    (Disclaimer: I didn’t plan to hack your site πŸ™‚

    I see no redirection on that page.

    Please talk to you host.

    Thanks for all the help I contacted Netfirms my host and they were able to solve the problem from their end. Thanks again very much for all the help
