    Hi Frank,

First of all great plugin, and it has given me lot of support in page speed goal achievement. But I have a small query, that "the optimized css contains multiple occurrences of same css file"

Due to this the optimized css file has gone very big in size around 255 kb.

Looking forward to here from you.

    Thanks,
    Milap Gajjar

interesting milap! there currently is no logic in autoptimize to remove duplicate classes, but that would be an interesting feature to add so i'll put it on my "great idea's"-list.

for now I would advise you to try to tackle the problem at the root (your theme, I guess)?

    Hi Frank,

Thanks for the quick reply, Sorry for the misleading title, But it had given you a new Idea :)

Actually the problem is that the same css file is there two times in the optimized[combined] css.

The whole css file is duplicated in the optimized css.

May be something similar to http://blog.futtta.be/tag/cdn/.

"Because of duplication of e.g. background-images and fonts, pointing at both the CDN and the origin-server, these assets were downloaded twice and the extra file-size resulted in a site that was slower with than without a CDN"

    Thanks Again for prompt reply,

    Thanks and regards,
    Milap Gajjar

hmm, sounds weird. I'd like to have a look at your site with and without CSS optimization. feel free to send me your URL at futtta-at-gmail-dot-com.

migth be interesting if you could install the newest version (in kind-of-beta) from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/autoptimize.zip. this has some fixes and allows me somewhat easier debugging.

I just pushed a fix to the "beta" of 1.8.2, you can download it here; http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/autoptimize.zip

Would be great if you could download & test if it indeed discards the CSS in comments.
