    Hello,

I updated prices using CSV on around 1000 products. In fact, it was mainly variable products and there were approx. 30k variations. Prices have been amended fine without any issues, but this process created 19k scheduled actions, and it shows “WooCommerce is updating product data in the background”.

There is no problem with this, but it has been going for 4 days and currently only half way through. So, I have 2 questions:

    1) Is it normal for 20k scheduled actions to take 8-9 days?
    2) I have noticed that I get “The next queue will begin processing in approximately 46 seconds.” or similar, so why there is a wait? I guess this is why it’s taking so long to clear the queue.

Is there anything I can do speed this up/clear?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I would recommend installing the WP Crontrol plugin available here:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/

Once it’s installed, you can go to Tools > Cron Events to see if there are any errors or messages listed at the top of the page that might explain the issues you are having with the WP-Cron system.

You could also check for any fatal errors under WooCommerce > Status > Logs that might explain why things are slow.

Also, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply.

    Thanks.

    Hi Mirko,

I’ve installed WP Crontrol but no apparent errors. It does however show different number of cron tasks. As of now, there are ~8400 scheduled actions but on the cron events on this plugin there is around 50 in total. I’m not sure if this is expected.

The cron can be possibly delayed based on server resources. So if you’re on a shared hosting, this can happen.

If you experience errors, kindly reach out to your hosting service

    Hi @northwst,

Was the queue of scheduled actions able to complete? With so many actions, it can definitely take some time to process. If it stalls or gives you any trouble, please let us know.

    Cheers
