I think the team of WP is doing quite an elaborate updates.
But if you ask the users of WP like me, who is running around 10 websites on paid servers with WP, then I will say that the users of WP like to have a thorough offline environment just like Windows live writer.
If you recall the creation of website and publishing it on the server using MS Front page, you will understand what I mean.
Every piece of information of my website is also available on my PC also, when using FP.
I may be rather ignorant about the development about WP, but DOES WP AT ALL HAVE SUCH FACILITY, ALREADY FOR THE USERS LIKE ME....?
    Please reply anybody....!
    Thanks in advance...

It looks like Windows Live Writer does support WordPress. Personally, I haven't tried it.

Me neither. And I'm sure I came across a report that MS would be withdrawing support for it soon. However, there are a ton of offline blogging tools out there - including quite a few for mobile devices..

@bourini: As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Posting in an existing topic prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Added to which, your problem - despite any similarity in symptoms - is likely to be completely different.

The dashboard update failed for this update. Looks like a permissions issue. Using a generic install on CentOS. Dash reported; could not copy file to a directory. Error 500 for all pages. Phpmyadmin still working. Working on manual install of update.

@wvanbusk - did you read the above? This is not your thread either - start your own.

I am unsubscribing from this issue.

My intention was to know whether or not WP does have equivalent offline utility of its own, just like MS Live Writer...?

    But this is getting digressed....

I had started this discussion, actually.

Didn't you read the first post?

I think, it is now better to make this topic resolved, to reduce unnecessary database entries on WP.

Stopping the digression of the subject is much better.

In future, don't write in upper case "LIKE THIS". It's considered shouting and therefore rude.

Yes, sorry your thread got interrupted - we try to keep on topic of the OP, but not everyone reads the forum guidelines :/ . To answer your question, no, WP does not have any offline functionality unless you set up a WP install on your local computer -- but that is not connected to your live site.

Thank you WPyogi, Thank you so much.

If possible, now only one question, I must ask.

If I install WP on my local computer and develop one website in it, can I just copy and paste the complete folder of the same on my hosted site's root?
Will it restore my complete site there...?

No, you also need to backup and restore the database.
