The meta box is blank!

    Hi Yoast team,

    I’m using Yoast SEO for my production site at MetaBox.io. The latest 2 versions of Yoast SEO shows a blank meta box which prevent us from enter custom meta data.

    We’re using WordPress 4.9.9, Yoast SEO version 11.6 (haven’t tested with 11.7, but from the changelog, there’s no mention about this bug).

    I’ve read you KB, and sadly you didn’t mention about *your* JavaScript errors in your console (which you can see in the screenshot above).

    Hi,

    I have the exact same problem on my website.

    Any idea how to solve this from the support team ?

    I am seeing the exact same thing after upgrading Yoast. However, it is only appearing on the page set to the “Home” page. Other pages, the Meta box appears.

    I am not using any unique plugins – have been using Yoast along with the same theme and basic plugins and has worked fine previously.

    We apologize for the difficulties you are having with the plugin. We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v11.8? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.2.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
