    Greetings,

This morning I began encountered a new error with tablepress. When I attempt to create a new table the following error is returned (and no new table is created).

“The link you followed has expired.”

Other support threads have mentioned this could be related to a host capping the size of an upload. I’ve confirmed that’s not an issue and my upload cap is 128 mb.

I’ve been using TablePress on this site with the same set of plugins / theme for several years without any issues. This only started to happen as of this morning.

I am wondering if it’s possibly related to TLS. As you know, Chrome will begin warning users any time TLS 1.0 or 1.1 is being used. This morning we set new minimums to TLS 1.2.

Is it possible that this is interacting with TablePress? Or is there another issue at play?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

No, I don’t think that this is related to TLS. I would also guess that something in the server configuration has changed and is causing this. TablePress is definitely not returning an error message with that wording, and neither is WordPress (from what I know). This leaves the server software, e.g. some firewall or security program that is intercepting and blocking the request here. Unfortunately, I can only suggest to contact your webhost support team about this error message. They should be able to find more information in the server’s log files.

    Regards,
    Tobias

It’s not the fine way to simply delete posts, Tobias. I had the same problem as I reported in the deleted post and now I’ve found out what it was. For me it was a plugin conflict with OneSignal 2.0.0. A temporary rollback to previous will solve this issue.

    Thanks,
    Georg

    Hi Georg,

Thanks so much for your comment.

That fixed my issue as well.

When I deactivated OneSignal (2.0.0 version) I was able to use TablePress normally again.

To clarify for others, it seems to be the new OneSignal version that’s problematic. I had no issues with earlier versions of OneSignal.

I’m not exactly sure what that plugin is doing that would interact with TablePress in this way, but at least we have an answer now.

    Thank you again!

    Hi,

This is indeed a bug in the OneSignal plugin and they seem to have fixed it by releasing a new version. Thanks for finding out about this!

    @georgbnm:
Please be assured that I did NOT delete any posts here! I’m not a moderator in these forums and don’t have any access rights that would allow me to delete anything!
In fact, I have seen your and some more posts in this thread (from @thaitq and @hokejman if I remember the nicknames correctly), and while doing research on the problem, they disappeared for me as well.

So, everybody, please check if you are using the latest version of the OneSignal plugin.

    @castletime:
About other problem that you mentioned from the error log of your webhost:
This seems to have been caused by the Amazon Associates Link Builder plugin, see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/excessive-cpu-usage-2/ for a similar report.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

    sorry for my misjudgement.
I don’t know, if you could not delete any posts.
    I apologize for that.

    Thank you!

    Best,
    Georg
