• Hello
I am having huge problems activating this plugin on my website. After I install it and try to activate it I am getting this message: The link you followed has expired. Try again.
I made change in my php, and I DO NOT have that problem with any other plugins. Maybe it is incompatible with other plugins I have, here are all of them:
    Aksimet
    Artbees themes Captcha
    Contact form 7
    Crazy Egg
    Download monitor
    Email before downloads
    Envato toolkit
    Fb pixel
    GFoofle XML sitemaps
    Jetpack
    Layer slider wp

I tried 100 times… aldo, strange thing is every time I try I noticed another “Checkout button” in my main menu on my website homepage, which is turbo strange?

  • Hi @croatian6,

This is very strange that plugin is not going to be activate.

I think so there is something with your setup.

Can you please deactivate all other plugins and switch your theme to default WordPress theme and then try again.

I hope this will help you.

I tried to deactivate all others plugin it didnt help. I didnt try to switch to my default theme but I am sure plugin is compatible with my theme, it is here at http://www.puniapartmani.com

    Hi @croatian6,

Thanks for your response. This error “The link you followed has expired. Try again.” only comes when WordPress nonce (Security Salt) is empty or does not verify.

Can you please navigate to plugin screen, scroll down to “Easy Digital Downloads”. Now mouse hover the “Activate” button, right click and “Copy Link Location”.

Can you please provide me that link? Actually I want to check it is creating with nonce or not.

    Hi @croatian6

Thanks for the link. It looks perfect and there is no issue in that.

I have done some R&D on web and some says that it can be issue with some Server configuration.

Can you please add below codes to wp-config.php file just before this line
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);

If the issue is still there then please let me what is the name of your hosting provider OR it would be good if I can know what is your server configuration like File Upload Size limit and etc. It will help me to debug the issue.

    Hi @croatian6,

Thanks for your response. Now its look like that I need to check more deeply in code to debug the issue so I need more details. Let me ask to forum moderator.

Very Short Version: if you ask for access to their site, I will ban your account.

    *DRINKS COFFEE, Coffee is good.*

Thank you for asking. I really do appreciate that. 😉

    Try these steps.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

If that doesn’t work then I’m afraid you are out of options and won’t be able to assist.

BTW the Health Check plugin is a GREAT tool and I do recommend using it to troubleshoot things. At WCUS it helped people a lot.

    Hi @jdembowski,

Thanks for your guidance. Yes, I have not asked site access and I am aware about this rule.

Thanks for http://pastebin.com/ link and showing me “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin.

I have one question, If I am not bothering you.

Sometimes some forum user asks for email so email providing is also not a good way right? Actually I have tried to find out this in handbook but I am unable.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @croatian6,

    Please install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

Once you active plugin, navigate to menu “Dashboard > Health Check > PHP Information”

Can you please find out this values?
    1) max_execution_time
    2) max_file_uploads
    3) max_input_time
    4) memory_limit
    5) post_max_size

You can find out this values from “Debug Information > Server” tab also

I hope this will help us..

You’re not bothering me but this is best discussed in the #forums channel in Slack.

You can get a Slack account here.

The handbook doesn’t also say “Act like a grownup” either and it doesn’t have to.

Short version: people use and harvest these forums for work. There are more than one company that has a lifetime ban for doing that. If you post your email or do that when asked, there is a real possibility you or that person will join that list of blocked users.

    Hi @jdembowski,

    Thanks for your assistance.
