The Journal Child Theme, can’t disactivitate comments

I cannot find how to disactivite the comments box.

My main probelm being I do not wish to see ‘0 comments’ on my blog. I’d rather just get rid of the comments widget altogether.

How do I do this? Having read closed forums on a similar subject but not necessarily for The Journal theme, I still cannot do this.
