Hello, why are the pictures in the gallery all positioned one below the other and not next to each other?
    I made all the settings.

  • Hi @murelot

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I’ve just had a look at the images you shared with us. The FooGallery settings used seem to be ok. However, your fouth image, which was a screenshot of your page in the WordPress Block Editor, may hold the answer to why the images appear like that.

From that image, the gallery doesn’t appear to be one created FooGallery. It looks like you did create that gallery by adding those images to that page using the WordPress Block Editor, or some other page editor/builder.

Kindly note that once you’ve created a gallery using FooGallery as you’ve already done, all you need to do next is to copy and paste the shortcode that is always automatically generated for each gallery into any page or post to display your gallery. If you’re using the block editor, you can paste the shortcode into the HTML block.

You can have a look at our Getting Stared guide (https://fooplugins.com/documentation/foogallery/getting-started-foogallery/foogallery-101/) or this short YouTube video tutorial (https://fooplugins.com/documentation/foogallery/getting-started-foogallery/creating-galleries-video/) we created on how to add a FooGallery to your page.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Regards,
    Elvis.

    Hi @murelot

I’ve just created a gallery using the exact settings you took a screenshot of and added the shortcode to my gallery page using the WordPress block editor, and the images in my gallery are not positioned on top of each other as yours are. See the linked image: https://d.pr/i/JNYy7H

Can you please have a look at the Page Settings and Page Attributes of that particular gallery page to find out if there are some page settings that are causing the content in that page to be centered?

Please let us know what you find.

    Regards,
    Elvis.

    I solved the problem with this code `.section-inner {width: auto;}
.post-inner {width: auto;}`, but now there are others that I cannot follow. Why does FooBox it work in the admin panel page editing and not on the homepage 🙁

    Hi @murelot

One of the common reason this happens on a particular page like that is simply because the lightbox may have not been selected on the settings of that particular gallery as shown on this image: https://d.pr/i/oM65JO

Please head over to the General tab of the Gallery Setting of that gallery to confirm if that’s the case. If so, select FooBox from the dropdown menu as shown in the image and save changes.

Please let us know if this works for you.

    Regards,
    Elvis.

    Hi @murelot

Please confirm if FooBox assets have been disabled from loading on that particular page. If that has been done, then something exactly similar to that tends to happen when you want to open up an image in FooBox lightbox.

To do this, edit your page or post, and locate the FooBox Javascript & CSS metabox. If you’re using the block editor, it is located in the document settings of the page. Simply uncheck the checkbox if it was chaecked and update your page.

You can use the following step-by-step guide in our documentation to take you through this process:https://fooplugins.com/documentation/foobox/getting-started/including-and-excluding-foobox-asset-loading/

    Elvis.
