I’ve got a contact form working, but after the user submits the form, it reloads the page. I can’t find any setting to control this.

    Hi Andy,

We do not currently have AJAX form submissions, which would allow a form to be submitted without refreshing the page. It’s definitely on our list to add in the future, though!

    Have a good one 🙂

Gotcha. Look, I don’t want to crap on what you’ve built, especially since you’re giving it out for free. The admin interface you guys have built is one of the best out there. But the admin interface is less important than the form itself that users see on the website. AJAX submission isn’t a nice thing to have, it’s a basic requirement at this point.

    Hey Andy,

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely agree, in many situations AJAX provides a much better experience.

The good news is AJAX submissions is on our radar to add support for in the future 🙂

Is there any news on this? Using OptinMonster as given on the site is not an exceptable solution for my current project and I must have this functionality. I don’t care if I need to build it myself, but without it I’m going to have to use another form plugin, which is sad since I have everything for life version. This is a serious flaw in an otherwise perfect form plugin.

    Hi John,

We don’t have an ETA on developing AJAX support at this point, but it’s still something we’re considering adding down the road.

Some popup/modal options have ways to prevent their popup from closing when a form is submitted, which can work well as a workaround. I’d recommend contacting the specific popup plugin you’re interested in to find out if they have an option for this, as each will work a bit differently 🙂

I have created a solution. It’s actually more of a hack than a real solution at this point.

It will not submit or work with some field types, for example it will not upload files and there are likely some other more complex fields that it can’t handle.

You’ll need to test it with your specific forms to see if there are any issues. I will not be able to fix most problems when it comes to fields that do not work, but if anyone runs into any specific situations where it does not work I would appreciate it if you open a ticket over on github to let people know what problems they might have.
