The form is not appearing Email solution?

I am just a little new to this process.
I have constructed an opt-in form, asked for it to appear “after post” and “after page”.
The first problem is that when I go to my website, it does not seem to load up the opt in form. I am using vantage template builder – it does not seem to have the opt in form as a widget. How to I get the opt in form on my page?
I was also wondering how I could get the opt in form to appear at the top of the page – since the only options seem to be after the first or second paragraph or at the end of the whole thing.
The second main thing I just want to ask is what an ’email solution’ is. I am going to start a fluttermail account to send emails, so I’m just wondering what each ’email solution’ contained in this pluggin mean.
