• EDIT: as i am unable to edit/clean-up my support forum posting I’m adding to my review.

I HIGHLY recommend going to blockpresswp.com and really looking around a lot. For example: see the ‘Query Layouts’ section and really look deeper.

There’s TONS of unexpected tips in ALL the articles.

i’m having the most amazing time with WORDPRESS – all thanks to MASSIVE simplification with FullSiteEditing (FSE) and VAST power of BLOCKPRESS.

For sure see the Greenshift Helpers – Templates. AMAZING. Studying FSEditing tutorials and serious understanding was essential, and now I’ll never go back.

Blockpress with Greenshift OUTRAGEOUS!!! So Happy!

    —- written initially, below —-
    I’ve tried them all.
Blockpress REALLY should be SO SO SO popular when people get how great it is.
Greenshift awesome best too, in my view.
I hope the webpage blockpresswp.com will get deeper too.

FOR SURE maybe i need to find out why I resolved all my issues with a cleaned database.

You do NOT need to, and i think should not touch /Settings/Reading/

setting the posts page at /Settings/Reading/ seemed to help (after much messing about) though ultimately I was simply fooled by old starter theme pages and logic somehow!?!

A CLEAN ENOUGH DATABASE was the only way i could stop super weird stuff from happening.
Sorry for brevity at the moment here.

If you’ve installed, for example Kadence/Astra starter templates/themes
you’ll likely find, like me, that you’re chasing all manner of weirdness.
Blog page puzzlements – frontpage not showing what you’d expect.

I deleted my database, reinstalled wordpress, then blockpress (GREATEST NAME!)
then, greenshift plugin, and created a page called blog. Edited it, adding a posts block i liked, and voila, ALL JUST FINE. no touching any of the old school setting/reading.

I edit frontpage via EDIT SITE, and i create posts and they show on BLOG.

There’s a forum posting here that says to create a blog page, and set blog (at /Setting/Reading/) to it, and it will use the “index.php” for posts. etc .etc. NOPE. chasing my tail for 3 days. I had all kinds of weirdness, a few days of it. I’m not going to detail it all here. Sorry for rush. Just excited to say it’s all sorted now!!!
    MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

NOTE: i may well have LIKELY-) missed a few things the developer would recommend. Like, it probably may not be necessary to add a post-block to page i created called blog.

dunno, though i like some third party blog block to play with. INTERESTED in what everyone’s doing with BLOCKPRESS!

Anyways, when i recall NON-Full Site “Classic”  themes I realize their just so bloated. The Customizer being different with every theme.

I’m just an intermediate user, not advanced, though studying and learning Blocks-Only themes (FullSiteEditing) is really paying off.

YOU will find amazing things/blocks etc. if you really practice with the FRONTPAGE

you can delete everything and yet the blocks, complete are still there to draw from.

use the list show method top left 3 line icon when editing, and not so much the plus sign in the blocks area. PLUS use a KEY command to delete from thr LIST view on the left.

SO MUCH TO SAY. Sorry for rush here!!!!!!!

I am SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS FSE THEME !!!!!!!!!!!

1000 BRAVO’s!!! and thanks to DEV for the ongoing tutorials. blockpresswp.com
we all know they take time!!
