The file editor option is disabled automatically

I have selected to leave active the possibility that you can edit php files in WordPress, within the options of this plugin.

However, it automatically re-marks the box always and disables the ability to edit files from the WordPress control panel (such as plugins or themes).

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?
