The Facebook share is only showing link

Hi,

I am using the Kippis theme at my localhost for developing the website.
I have ‘Digg Digg’ and ‘Po.st’ social share plugin.

Whenever, I am sharing any post from my website in Facebook it is only sharing the link.

However, I wish to show the post image, description and headline instead of the link.

I have tried various solutions by myself but clueless so far.

I would be grateful if any of you can help who has solved this problem.

Hi Esmi,

My second message was not bumping.
It was merely meant to tell that the problem is strangely not arising if I am posting the link from my Facebook account.

Hi,

I am still not getting the users to get the picture when they are clicking share from my website.

Can someone help.

(I guess this is bumping of sort. Sigh!)

There is no meaning bumping.
That is true.
I didn’t get a reply in past 24 hours.
That helped me to search more by myself and get the solution.

There should be a forum standard which should mention what is the expected wait time to get a response.

satyaki, are you paying for support? Right. I thought so.

It looks like the problem you’re having is with the plugin itself or programming side on your template. Send a support request to the plugin developer. On one note, you gotta make sure you have all the meta tags on the header of your site, like: og:image.

And, upgrade your WP install.

These forums are staffed entirely by volunteers — and the “wait time” depends on many unpredictable variables – i.e. time of day/night, how busy the forums are, how many volunteers are around, what your issue is, etc.

And when you bump, it actually removes you from the “unanswered” list, so your wait may then be much longer.

I have this issue, when submitting an article to facebook, sometimes it just displays the full link.

Anyone know why this happens?
