• When I configure my url, no idea what each item is. Click the question mark, the popup short text is hard to understand. I have to google each item. Can you add an example to the text to help the new designer to get what you mean? For example, what is “the script of the variant?

    Hello liyanz,

based on your description you are referrring to the tooltip “The script of the variant of the page” available in the Hreflang -> Connections menu.

    What is a script

A limited number of languages have script variations. The available script variations are listed in ISO 15924. For additional information on the use of script variation in the context of hreflang please this this section from the Google documentation.

What is a variant of a page

A variant of a page is the version of a page targeted for a specific language, geo-location, or script.

Note that both “script” and “variant of a page” are hreflang related terms used by Google in its official documentation available on this page. As a consequence we use the same terminology in the tooltips.

Thank you for your feedback. I created a ticket based on this and tutorials/guides to get started with the plugin will be considered. Note that basic examples to implement hreflang with the plugin are currently available in the Examples section of the plugin documentation.
