Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » The Events Calendar + Yoast Conflict and PHP Error

  • Hello The Events Calendar Support,

    We currently use The Events Calendar plugin and it has performed its function for us admirably. However I have noticed some peculiar behavior in regards to our plugins that manage our SEO: “Yoast SEO”, Yoast SEO Premium”, and “Yoast SEO: WooCommerce”. See Google Drive link to screenshot below:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WQ7V27dx4X9-bmIdy7LoN3gD0M50u_qs/view?usp=sharing

    The event start and end dates seem to be saved onto the database under the SEO score and Readability score Yoast fields for the Events I most recently updated. I am also receiving the following error in the PHP error log:
    [03-Jun-2021 22:19:49 UTC] WordPress database error Unknown column 'supermgswp_postmeta.meta_value' in 'field list' for query SELECT DISTINCT supermgswp_posts.*, MIN(supermgswp_postmeta.meta_value) as EventStartDate, MIN(tribe_event_end_date.meta_value) as EventEndDate FROM supermgswp_posts LEFT JOIN supermgswp_postmeta as tribe_event_end_date ON ( supermgswp_posts.ID = tribe_event_end_date.post_id AND tribe_event_end_date.meta_key = '_EventEndDate' ) WHERE 1=1 AND supermgswp_posts.post_type = 'tribe_events' AND (supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'publish' OR supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'acf-disabled' OR supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'tribe-ea-success' OR supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'tribe-ea-failed' OR supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'tribe-ea-schedule' OR supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'tribe-ea-pending' OR supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'tribe-ea-draft' OR supermgswp_posts.post_status = 'dp-rewrite-republish') ORDER BY EventStartDate DESC, supermgswp_posts.post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 1 made by require('wp-blog-header.php'), wp, WP->main, WP->query_posts, WP_Query->query, WP_Query->get_posts

  • Can confirm an issue with Events Calendar Pro and Yoast SEO. My issue is in the visual output of the Events Calendar Pro plugin when using the Events Calendar widget/short code… This particular stylesheet stops feeding through when Yoast SEO is activated https://cloudup.com/cpJoqwz2atP

    A ticket submitted on their end yielded no results as the issue seems to be on the Ev.Cal Pro end – https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/17117

    If you use the Event List widget rather than the Events Calendar widget or the shortcode, it feeds the events through the loop fine.

    I am attempting to submit a helpdesk ticket but the Events Calendar support ticket program is also broken. When you select ‘something not working as expected’ and Pro it throws you into a loop and never enables you to write out and submit a ticket with the aforementioned selections.
