The Events Calendar: problem with Main Nav Menu

  • I have my navigation menu on my site set to custom, showing just a few pages. On the “events” page, which is the main page that displays the events calendar, or events list, ALL of my site’s pages and categories appear on my main navigation menu.

How can I fix this problem? Also, is there a shortcode to put the calendar into a sidebar widget?

Site is “TropicModel.com” the tab in question is under “News and Events”…”Upcoming Events.”

    Thanks,
    Kathy

Hi Kathy. Thanks for your note here, and sorry to hear of the inconvenience you’re faced with so far. The first thing I’d suggest right off the bat is turning on a pretty permalinks structure for the site, something like /%postname%/. In a lot of cases similar to yours in the past, this alone has done the trick.

If not, please try switching the Events template under Events -> Settings. There will be a dropdown, and each option there – when saved – will be reflected on the frontend immediately. If the permalinks doesn’t work please try each of the options there and let me know if that sorts it for you.

I can continue trying to troubleshoot from there. Thanks for your patience so far!
