The Events Calendar Extension: Divi Compatibility plugin is not working again, version 1.2.1… It is showing only one event in both the Events Widget and in the main List View… There have been a number of Divi updates since the plugin was updated…

    Hoping for the best here…

    Kind regards…

  • Hoping for a response- I have been looking into this as many ways as I can, deactivating and narrowing down, all without being a coder…

Everything on site is updated to latest versions, and all php exceeds WP and Divi theme requirements…

There are no errors in the server logs… The WP Health Check plugin shows no issues…

In the Firefox Console this ERROR comes up on the Month, List and Day views, but not on single events, and not on any other pages or posts, or anywhere else…

When I click on the jquery link in the line above (it is an actual link in the Console) I get a whole huge bunch of jquery code in the Firefox Debugger, and all of it over my head…

I have pasted that jquery code from the Debugger to PasteBin, here is the link to it… https://pastebin.com/2NvKNurw

I have done a search on event in the Debugger jquery, and it comes up a lot, including in this term: .addEventListener.

I then search the whole ‘The Events Calendar’ plugin folder and find that .addEventListener is used in many many files throughout the plugin…

All this suggests to my admittedly limited understanding that this issue is very directly related to The Events Calendar, and I believe how it is interacting with the Divi theme, because the issue in its results (i.e., not showing all the events on the List view and/or in the Events Widget) has been an ongoing problem for a long time, in relationship to Divi, that you have tried to address with the specialty plugin that does not seem to be working here… And as you know Divi is one of the very most used WP themes these days…

    UPDATE –

Found the issue, some things I was doing with categories.… A plugin on one site, and a function in child theme on another site, in both cases hiding certain categories in certain locations… Once again I learn not to go looking for responsibility elsewhere quite so quickly… A lifelong learning it seems… 😊

Because it was the same as issues reported so often with Divi, and because you had a plugin for that, that had been updated a few times to keep up with the issue, or so it seemed, I jumped to quickly…

Many hours chasing this down… All working great now…

Thanks for a great plugin… I need to use the free version because both sites are two different non-profit community oriented sites…

    Kind regards…

More, in case it is helpful to anyone…

Turns out the jquery error was a totally different issue unrelated to the issue of all events not showing in List view that was resolved, see above…

It was a browser add-on in Firefox that was causing the jquery error…

Curiously though, the jquery error would only occur on the main Events page, and not on any other pages or posts, which was throwing me off completely…
