Hi Sandy. Thanks for the note here, and sorry that you’re encountering issues. The problem here looks to be that you’ve got your calendar at /events-3/, where by default its going to be created at /events. If you have other pages in the site that are living at /events you should remove those, set the slug for the events page back to /events (done under Events -> Settings) and make sure you have a pretty permalinks structure enabled.

Give that a go and let me know if you still have questions/concerns from there. Thanks for your patience so far.

Sandy, I’m going to assume you got this sorted or moved on, and am going to mark this Resolved accordingly. Let me know if we can do anything else for you here.

Hi Roblagatta. Thanks for your assistance.

I have the calendar visible under the events page on http://www.vwat.org. Any idea why I can’t view previous/next months?

Also, I’d like to have a small calendar visible on the sidebar, maybe in a widget. Do I have to upgrade the plugin ($16) to do this?

Hey Sandy. Apologies for the delay here; we slowed down for the holidays and I’ve been out on vacation until this past week myself.

Looks like – by checking out your site – you’ve moved onto another calendar solution. Sorry if that was due to my tardy response. If I’m wrong there, and you still need help, just let me know and I’ll get you what you need.

    Hi guys,

Ive got the same problem. I cant view events (calendar). Ive got pretty permalinks enabled in custom structure: http://yourgear.info/archives/%post_id%
Here are some links related to Events Calendar plugin:
    http://yourgear.info/events/past/
    http://yourgear.info/events/upcoming/
    http://yourgear.info/events/month/

I tried to change template to full-width, saved and nothing happened. I stil had sidebar. If I change template to full-width to other pages not related to Event Calendar plugin sidebar is gone. I thought that could help bu it didnt.
Slug is set for events. I dont have any other pages living at /events.

I noticed also that web “title” bar (top left corner) got mixed up Events category with my web title.

Im just lost. I dont know what else I could do.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Hey Tom. Thanks for the note here, and sorry to hear of the inconvenience you’re faced with so far. I know that can be frustrating and I apologize for the situation you’re in.

I can see the problem when I check out those links: none of them show the calendar itself. If you’ve cleared up the slug issue and don’t have another page at /events (and this means NEVER had a page at /events, even if it’s gone now)…my guess is on a conflict of some kind.

Are you in a position where you can test deactivation of other plugins, to check if there’s a conflict? If we can identify the source on that end it’ll be easier to try and suggest a workaround. If no plugin conflicts, it’d be great to see the results of testing on a different theme (particularly one of the Defaults – Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve, ideally).

Let me know if you’re in a position to test those. Can try to troubleshoot for you from there.

    Hey Rob

I played with plugins. I turned off all except Events Calendar. Looks like there is no conflict between plugins. When I get a chance I will try with different theme as you suggested and let you know the results.

    Thanks
    Tom

    Hi Rob.

I change themes as you suggested on Twenty Twelve and Twenty Eleven. On both I could see: past events, upcoming events and calendar. I noticed there was slight difference when chosing template (Events Calendar template) for each theme – including my GamePress Pro on which I experience these problems.

On Twenty Eleven I could choose templates:
    1. Default Events
    2. Default Page
    3. Showcase
    4. Sidebar (this options allows me to see sidebar)

With Twenty Twelve I had options:
    1. Default Events
    2. Default Page
    3. Front Page
    4. Full Width Page – There is no sidebar but it is not exactly full width as the name state. This options is without showing sidebar space in my case.

With my theme GamePress Pro I have options like:
    1. Default Events
    2. Default Page
    3. Full Width – despite what name state I still have sidebar and as I mentioned above/previous post I cant see past events, upcoming events and calendar.

Ive checked links I gave you in previous post and they did work on Twenty Eleven and on Twenty Twelve with various template settings as described above.
Is there any chance to sort out this please. I really like this plugin.

    Thanks
    Tom

    Hey Rob

    Any idea with my problem?

    Thanks

Hey Tom, thanks for the follow-ups here, and for doing some further testing on this end. This has gotten a bit outside my area of expertise – I’m going to need to get Jonah from our team to take a look here when he hits the forums later today. We’ll see if a fresh set of eyes might have some perspective on this that I’m missing.

Actually, Tom, thinking about it – would you have any interest in trying out our 3.0 beta code, to see if it integrates easier for you? We’ve made some substantial changes to the templating structure in an attempt to help folks in your very position…would be interested in seeing how far along that path we’ve gotten so far.

Let me know – it’s not something you’d want to install on a live site, but if you’ve got a testing environment or staging site it might be perfect.
