    Good afternoon!
On the site in the lifter lms embedded video with limited access to YouTube is not active. You can see the lesson only if you go to the link “Download file: https://www.youtube.com/…”. That is, you go to YouTube itself. Previously, all the lessons were available directly on the site, but now this is the only way.
Videos with limited access to YouTube are not shown, but lessons without restrictions are shown. At the top of the video a message about an unknown error.

  • Hi @walensyja

Thanks for reaching out and we’re sorry to hear you’re having an issue!

When you say videos with limited access to YouTube, can you tell us what setting you’re referring to here? Do you mean YouTube’s privacy setting or a visibility block in the lesson on your site directly?

If possible can you provide us screenshots of the issue so we can get a better idea of what the issue is and the best way to approach a fix?

    Apologies for our confusion here!

Let us know if you have any further questions!

    All the best,

    Good evening!
Thank you for your reply! On YouTube I put limited access to view my videos. The link to this video I put in the lesson Lifter Lms. This lesson can not be viewed on the site, instead it has a link to YouTube.

    Hi @walensyja

    Thank you for clarifying.

Unfortunately, private videos can only be viewed by those who are invited to view them.

The uploader can choose up to 50 people to share the video with. However, those invited must have an active Google Account (and must be logged in) to view the video. If an invitee has multiple Google Accounts, they will have to be signed into the account the uploader has shared it with to see the video.

They cannot be embedded on a site. Instead you’ll want to use unlisted videos.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    All the best,

Since I haven’t heard back from you in a week I’m going to mark this thread as resolved. Don’t worry, if you have more questions or still need help just hit reply and let me know!

    Have a great day!

    Good evening, Natalie!
I have given Google Accounts access to these videos on YouTube. They can watch these videos on the YouTube website, but they can’t on the school website.
Did I understand correctly that the limited-access videos will not play on the school website?

    Hi @walensyja

    Yes, that is correct!

With limited access, Youtube controls where the videos can be played from and who is allowed to view them. Since this is linked with the Google Accounts you’ve granted access to, the video can be viewed on Youtube, but won’t work as an embedded video on your site.

Please let us know if you have any further questions!
