The default theme that is stable enough and supports many plug ins ?

    Hi,
    I’m quite new to wordpress..
    What do you think the default theme that is stable enough, supports many plug ins (image and video gallery, contact form, slider, etc) and has mobile support ?
    I need to carefully pick one because it’s going to determine many days and weeks that’s gonna be spent on that theme :).
    I’ve been exploring twentyfourteen theme for a couple of days and I think it’s quite good, especially the look. But since it was released this year (2014) and is still in 1st version, I’m afraid it’s not stable yet and not so many people use it yet.
