    First of all – thanks for a great plugin.

    I’ve seen that this forum has had more threads about this problem, but none of them seem to offer the solution, and in any case, I can’t react to those anymore because they are closed.

    I keep getting “The connection to twitter has returned an error. Please try again later.” when I put the shortcode in the sidebar of my site. (www.earthchartervrienden.org) Sometimes however, the plugin works fine. Then a few minutes later it will fail to connect again.

    I have read that the problem is with Twitter – that the site might be down or something. But it happens a lot, and Twitter seems to be fine. Is there any other possible explanation and solution for this? Help is much appreciated. I’d like to keep using this plugin because it’s so simple and customizable.

    This only happened is the connection to the RSS feed was down. However, Twitter will be turning off RSS support completely today. Once this happens you will have to revert to Twitter’s official timeline. I have already incorporated this into the plugin. More detail on it can be found here.
