    Hello,

I like using this plugin (If Menu). It’s very good and comes in handy.
    But…
I’ve noticed that when I use another plugin for menu item customization such as “Menu Icons”, the conditional options for “If Menu” for a menu item disappear when it is activated. In order to be able to use “If Menu”, I have to de-activate the “Menu Icons” plugin, configure my statements and then re-activate the “Menu Icons” plugin.
    They’re conflicted.

Can’t they both appear together on the Menu Item configuration box without this hassle?

  • Thanks for the tip, cosmo34 – I had the same problem and hadn’t linked it to the presence of the “Menu Icons” plugin.

    Hi,

The hook API for editing menu items is not so powerful, so almost all plugins use a custom Walker. Because the menus use just one instance of this, just one plugin can hook into this functionality. If Menu plugin will disable itself if another plugin tries to add extended functionality to menu items.
This is a limitation from WordPress code, but I hope can be improved in future
