The checkbox “Hide Customer info” doesn’t work properly

Hi,

The text near the checkbox says “Hide customer information from order details of vendors”. But I observe the following regardless of the checkbox state:

1) Vendor doesn’t see any customer information at all in the order details page (/dashboard/orders/?order_id=XXX). What exactly does the checkbox affect?

2) Vendors see customer’s first and last name in the CUSTOMER column of Orders panel (dashboard/orders/)

Ideally, the checkbox should hide any customer information except customer’s Username (not Nickname which can be changed). This would keep the customer’s details hidden, but the Username would still allow the Vendor to refer to the customer in some way. For instance, via Admin, or via a post, or to configure some credentials / access for the customer (if this is the type of the product).

If this is a confirmed bug, please let me know the fix ETD? If not, please advise how to configure as above.
