• I’ve tried a number of SEO plugins, yes including the ‘big 3’ (AIO, Yoast, and JetPack) and without question RankMath is far better.

It’s super-easy to setup and tweak the settings, and even with the most minimal (or even the default) settings it simply works. It has SO many tools and features that it’s mind-boggling that this is a FREE plugin! But don’t worry, the interface to manage all of its features is very easy to navigate and understand.

It lets you import your settings from other SEO plugins if you’ve been using one, so no need to start from scratch. The support is really amazing – very quick and helpful replies, and their Knowledgebase is extensive – I’ve spent days combing through articles (and have barely scratched the surface of all the information offered there) and while I *thought* I had a lot of SEO knowledge, I find that I’m still learning something new almost daily from RankMath….all I can say is wow – just wow.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this impressed with a plugin before – I’ve tried (and abandoned) many hundreds of plugins over the (more than 15) years I’ve been developing with WP in order to come up with my own list of “must have” plugins, and RankMath will now be at the top of my list.

OOOH I almost forgot to mention THIS – one more thing to love about RankMath is NO NAGS to upgrade to a premium product!! Don’t you just hate when you’re using a free version that meets your needs and you get constant nags to upgrade to a paid version? I do……I don’t mind at all some unobtrusive link to a premium version that I can take advantage of if/when I need or want to, but those obnoxious, in-your-face nags will sometimes make me abandon a plugin that I would otherwise keep. I love that RankMath doesn’t do this – in fact I really can’t figure out how they can offer this great plugin for free – I can’t even FIND a premium version or I WOULD upgrade, I love it that much!

EDITED TO ADD AN UPDATE: I now use the free version of this plugin on about a dozen sites, but on two I have upgraded to the new “Premium” version and it’s definitely worth the price. For *most* sites the free version is more than adequate, but when you need the extra features offered by the paid version, the cost is extremely affordable – a ton of ‘bang for your buck’.
