It Was The Best – But Issues Arise Where I May Need To Look Elsewhere

My original review was 5 starts because this plugin just work, does everything and more than I had ever asked.

This was until recently. There are 2 issues with this plugin now that make me consider wanting to change.

1. Its now abandon-ware as it has not been updated in over a year. In fact I went out of my way to email one of the developers of this plugin and no response. I even said there is a willing market who would pay for updates to this very versatile plugin including myself. While this means the plugin still works for now, its a warning sign that with all the latest WordPress updates and the impending release of WP Core 5 will it even work? Only time will tell.
2. I use WPBakery and any images that are uploaded and now deleted are not detected which I discovered yesterday. While I do not expect them to work with every plugin the fact is that WPBakeryy is one of the most popular WP editors. So now on my site where there is an image that is now deleted it is now blank. I just wished it could detect broken images from WPBakery as now its a manual search.

My original rating was 5 but due to the abandon-ware issue (mostly) and radio silence from the devs I am potentially seeing this plugins life span run out eventually unless there is a response. Also the lack of support for WPBakery (and yes I know its a free plugin) is just something that makes me potentially look elsewhere for a more reliably updated solution.
