[Resolved] the best cache timeout setting

  • hello Emre,

This is not a support query. Rather a question about setting – what is the best timeout for cache? I mean there are three options there.. If I set it hourly, is it okay or does it negate the purpose of caching files? I am asking this because my site (as you might have seen earlier) has a news ticker in manually placed in the header (taking a shortcode from another news ticker plugin). Now, when I add news items in the ticker, it does not show up to visitors until I clear it manually. So, I thought to set it up 1 hour daily. Is it okay? Or should I make it once a day for the best of performances?

Thank you once again for your support.

Actually, I never set it. Deleting cache when new post is enough for me.
what does “news ticker plugin” do? There is a slider. Does this plugin provide it?
