Support » Plugin: Backup & Staging - BlogVault Backups » The best backup plugin

  • Note: The plugin has a free trial but it’s not for free. After 7 days the free trial version turns into a paid version. You can see that on the plugin website but not in the wordpress plugin download area. Usually, there is a permanent free version of a plugin if it can be installed from the wordpress plugin area. This is misleading and the reason why users feel cheated.

On the other hand the free trial is useful to test the plugin extensively before making a payment. I tested the plugin and bought a basic license for all of my websites because it worked flawlessly compared to other free backup plugins. The basic license includes backups and a staging enviroment. The backup files are stored on the blogvault server which is much safer than to store the backup files on the website server. You have access to the backup files at any time. You can download the backup files and store them anywhere else. For restoring you website with the last backup you have to login in with your webspace credentials in the blogvault surface. This is a safe way not letting anyone else make changes on your website. The staging enviroment can be created on the blogvault server with every existing backup. If you want to overwrite your website with the staging website you have to login with your webspace credentials again. Note: The blogvault plugin must be enabled on both websites.
