• Google Search Console: “Disallowed attribute or attribute value present in HTML tag.” When I investigate any given AMP page, I get an error as seen in this image. Basically it looks like for the amp-featured-image <figure>, both the ‘data-hero’ and ‘fallback’ versions are removing the quotes ” from alt=”blah blah” to alt=blah blah, which means HTML is no longer valid.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Also getting this issue – “The attribute ‘for’ may not appear in tag ‘amp-img’.”
This is repeated for several other words on the page.
The issue seems to be on the data-hero and fallback attributes, I can’t yet see why but it looks like the html from the plugin is malformed somewhere, either missing a closing tag or quotations around the data-hero and fallback area.

Just following up – the issue looks like part of the update between versions 1.0.77.21 – 1.0.77.23

Rolling back to 1.0.77.20 fixes the issue. Delete the current version of the plugin and re-download from this link https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/advanced/

Scroll to the bottom and select 1.0.77.20 in the dropdown, download and install as normal, it will keep your settings from before.

Hope this works for you and the author updates the main version asap

    Hi Ahmed,

    Thank for your reply.

I don’t want to add pressure on your shoulders, but I am curious to ask you: when are you planning to release the next update?

I am not an expert so I don’t know how these things work and I would love to have a little piece of info about it.

In the meantime, would you recommend to follow @jrftillison advice about reinstall the previous version of the plugin?

    Thank you in advance,
    Sendcloud

I can’t say the exact timing but it’s set as a High Priority, so it should take few days.

    Thank you for your answer!
