That’s the extension. But does function_exists( 'iconv' ) return true?

Well, you could add something like this to a template file in your theme:

<?php echo function_exists( 'iconv' ) ? 'iconv exists' : 'iconv does not exist'; ?>

You can put it in footer.php

If this section is missing, “iconv support” says “disabled”, or “iconv implementation” is not available, then iconv is misconfigured on your system.

In that case, I recommend you to reach out to your web host so they can fix this.
