Support » Plugin: Tag Groups » The absolute tags group plugin!

  • I am using the plugin for more than a year with no issues. The plugin is free. This should have been a WordPress build-in future but thanks to Christoph the gap is covered by this plugin. There are several different option to handle and format your tags in groups. You can handle and display only specific tags in a single page or post. I have some requests to suggest for future versions. 1) There can be an option (widget) to edit tags or add tags by users in the front-end (I know that this is hard). 2) Change the way to short the order of tag groups from the arrows version which is very slow and time consuming with a drag & drop – sliding option. I will stop requests here, as I can surely add more, and give my congratulation to Christoph for this great plugin.

    Thank you so much!

I think that feature 1) would make sense as a different plugin, but feature 2) really makes sense. I agree that this should be improved. I will note both down and see what I can do when I have some free time again.

regarding 2): Can you please check the latest version? Thanks!

    Hi Chris,

I have checked the update version of the admin screen but is again slow with the arrows.

Can I please drop also another request? Is there a way to display link of a certain tag group in a menu? With this option a user can give direct access – results to frontend users.

Thank you also for the latest Ajax bag fix.

    Best regards

Does drag and drop not work within the list?

The arrows should be much faster than before. They reload only a part of the page.

Not sure how to use a menu. You can create a page (or post) and insert a shortcode that displays only one particular tag group to your frontend users (of course only viewing, no editing). That way they see only the tags of one group.
